Difficulty: This pattern is considered an intermediate skill level for children with some sewing experience. This pattern consists only of straight lines, but pay attention to where the pockets go! Help from an adult is encouraged for some steps. 
 
Skills involved: cutting & marking fabric, sewing at an accurate seam allowance, pinning, topstitching, stitching on Velcro, leaving an opening, hand sewing. Many of these techniques are demonstrated in video tutorials on our Sewcabulary page.
 
Finished dimensions: 11" wide x 7" tall (open)
 
This is a digital pattern that you can download to your computer and print on your home printer. The file will contain a description, supply list, cutting layout, illustrated instructions and all the pattern pieces to print and assemble.

1/3 yard fabric
1/2 yard lining fabric
1/4 yard felt
1” x 1" square of Velcro (hook & loop sides)
