Cancellation and Refunds
In the event that Butcher's Sew Shop must cancel a camp program for any reason, you will be offered a refund or transfer credit.
Weekday Camps & Class Cancellation:
If you need to cancel your child's enrollment before 72 hours from the start time of a weekday camp season (72 hours from the first day of camp) or class, you will be refunded in full.
For weekday camps, you may "try out" the first day after registering. If it's not a good fit, contact us within 48 hours and we will cancel and refund the remainder of the season. You will still be responsible for covering the cost of that first day ($95).
Afterschool classes cannot be refunded after the session has begun.
Summer Camp Cancellation:
If you need to cancel your child's enrollment in Butcher's Sew Shop Junior program due to COVID-19 restrictions or complications, you are entitled to a full credit or refund up until 2 weeks before the start date of camp. However, please know that there may be a delay in processing refunds through our registration system. Please allow 7-14 days for your refund. You can also hold the funds in your account to be used for another sewing program at a later date.
More than 24 hours notice from the start of the summer camp week (before 9am on Sunday) must be given in order for a refund or partial refund or credit to be granted. A student withdrawn within 24 hours of the start time of the program, or after the start of the program, will not be issued a full or partial refund. Children displaying or reporting any symptoms associated with COVID-19 must be sent home in accordance with guidelines and may not return to camp until a 14 day quarantine period has passed.
A schedule of cancellation fees applies:
7-14 days prior to scheduled camp start date: $50
1-6 days prior to scheduled camp start date: $75
Less than 24 hours notice: No refund
Butcher's Sew Shop reserves the right to change these policies based on individual circumstance.
Lost or Left Items
Butcher's Sew Shop is not responsible for personal items left behind in the studio. If your child left a sewing project, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to find and hold it for up to one week.
We have carefully structured our teaching curriculum around different age groups in order to meet the unique needs and skill levels of children in various developmental stages. If we discover that a child was registered under a false birth date without our knowledge in order to change their age for admittance into a particular class or camp, we reserve the right to terminate or transfer their registration. We request that you leave class space open for children who do meet our age criteria.
If a child is acting in a way that threatens their safety or the safety of other students, or impedes the teachers' ability to instruct and care for the rest of the group, Butcher's Sew Shop reserves the right to call the guardian and dismiss that child from class. If the same behavioral issue occurs twice, we reserve the right to terminate that child's registration for the remainder of the session or season.
