Get ready to stitch! Butcher's Sew Shop Junior's after school and weekend programs bring young creative minds to life in a welcoming environment that encourages creative risk-taking. Each session explores the art of sewing in innovative ways, but beyond that, your child will make new friends, learn practical skills and discover the magic that comes from creating something with their own two hands.

* 5-year-olds must at least be enrolled in kindergarten as of the 2023-2024 school year.
Our classes for younger children explore the wonders of needle and thread with projects that combine hand sewing and machine sewing. Young sewists learn to embroider, sew buttons, applique and create items like bags, stuffed animals and pillows. All students are taught how to thread a sewing machine on their own.

Afterschool classes run 3:45-5:45pm.

8-11 Years
We give 8-11 year olds the skills they need to thread and operate a sewing machine with complete independence. Students learn advanced skills like how to insert zippers, topstitching, working with linings and sewing curved seams. Projects for this age group have included backpacks, simple garments, lunch boxes, accessories, stuffed animals and much more.

11-15 Years
Our older students take on garment and accessory construction in a professional studio environment. You can expect your child to learn how to shop for apparel fabrics, cut fabric from a commercial pattern, read a pattern, finish seams and hems, and create a beautiful finished project. We have a blast seeing this age group soar to new sewing heights!

50% deposit required, or pay-in-full to register. If making a deposit, the remaining half will be auto-billed September 4.

Homeschool Session
This daytime session for homeschooled students allows children to explore the wonders of needle and thread with projects that combine hand sewing and machine sewing. Cancellation Policy
In the event you choose to cancel and withdraw your child from a Butcher's Sew Shop Junior program, the following fees apply:

In the event you choose to cancel and withdraw your child the following fees apply:
$50 service fee 28 or more days prior to program start date.
$100 service fee 28 - 14 days prior to scheduled program start date.
No refund when cancelled less than two weeks from start date.
A student withdrawn after the start of a program will not be issued a refund. Butcher's Sew Shop may cancel a camp week or program at any time. In the event Butcher's Sew Shop cancels a camp week, campers will be offered a new date to attend or a refund/credit for their camp week. Special circumstances where a refund may not be issued include loss of camp day due to severe weather conditions causing Butcher's Sew Shop to shut down and close temporarily.
